An abstract is a critical component of a scientific presentation and publication process. This workshop is a valuable opportunity for researchers and students to learn how to communicate their research findings effectively. Participants will learn about the essential elements of an abstract, including the purpose, methods, results, and conclusion. They will also learn how to structure their abstracts to make them clear, concise, and engaging. The workshop may include hands-on activities that allow participants to practice writing abstracts, receive feedback, and improve their writing skills. In sum, this workshop aims to guide the participants in preparing and developing an abstract for presentation.

The use of lasers has been applied in dentistry for over 20 years. The dental profession and patients are gaining acceptance to this technology. Laser promotes faster healing and effective decontamination. Recently, multiwavelength lasers are introduced by more manufactures. It can be confusing for dentists to understand the purpose of multiwavelength lasers. This workshop is designed to demonstrate the clinical applications of these wavelengths.

Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is a minimally invasive treatment option for dental caries World Health Organization (WHO) has recognised SDF as one of the essential dental medicines. This workshop will be a valuable opportunity for dental professionals and students to learn about the clinical use of SDF for managing dental caries. During the workshop, participants will learn about the mechanism of action, effectiveness, safety, indications, and contraindications of SDF. They will also learn about the application technique and post-treatment care. The workshop may include hands-on activities that allow participants to practice applying SDF to decayed teeth. This workshop aims to provide practical knowledge to manage caries using SDF effectively.
